Adventure
1. An exciting or remarkable experience
2. Participation in unusual activities
3. Exploration of unknown territory

Hi, I'm Miss Adventure!  Welcome to The Daily Adventurer!

Established in 2009 as the blog Rebecca's Big Adventure, The Daily Adventurer began as a self-imposed challenge to have 365 adventures in 365 days.  Each adventure was chronicled and shared, from the biggest (zip lining through the redwoods in Santa Cruz) to the smallest (growing an herb garden even though my thumb is the opposite of green) and everything in between.

In 365 days I ate bangers and mash, used an Easy Bake oven, found out was succotash is, deep fried Twinkies, baked a fruitcake for no reason, went vegetarian for a day, learned how to juggle and play drums (not at the same time), played laser tag and the harmonica (also not at the same time), hula hooped at a Hoop Jam, was brave enough to let go of the wall while ice skating, took an aerial silks class, fished, shot archery, tried fencing, talked through a tin can telephone, wore a blue wig, designed a pair of sneakers, built a Rube Goldberg machine, decorated a Rose Parade float, pressed a penny on a railroad track, took an IQ test (Mensa, here I come), went puddle jumping, attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for a mailbox, organized an eyeglass drive, sat on Santa's lap, found out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop (344), met Jane Russell, and celebrated National Public Sleeping Day.

I went from feeling like too many days passed by without anything memorable happening to learning how to find adventure in even the most unlikely of places.  I let my curiosity lead the way, I indulged in guilty pleasures, and I never ignored the question, "What if...?"  By the end of that first year I felt empowered and was ready to gather even more experiences to share.

Today I like to think of myself as an Adventure Curator, constantly seeking out adventure recommendations just for you, dear readers.  But beware, living a life of everyday adventures may result in blog addiction, frequent bouts of silliness, and an insatiable thirst for all things weird, wacky, and beautiful.

So where will you find adventure today?
